Choosing a web design company in Delhi is harder than it should be. The market is crowded, pricing is all over the place, and the difference between a ₹20,000 website and a ₹2,00,000 website is not always obvious until after you have paid for it. Here is how to make the right decision.
Step 1: Define What You Actually Need
Before you approach any agency, be clear on:
- What is the primary goal of the website? (Lead generation, ecommerce, credibility, information)
- How many pages do you need approximately?
- Do you need ongoing support and maintenance?
- What is your realistic budget — not your best-case budget?
- What does success look like in six months?
An agency that does not ask you these questions in the first conversation is not the right agency.
Step 2: Review Their Portfolio — Critically
Any web design company worth considering should have a portfolio of recent, live client websites. When reviewing them:
- Open the sites on your phone. Do they load quickly? Are they easy to navigate? Do buttons work correctly?
- Check the PageSpeed scores at pagespeed.web.dev. Below 70 on mobile is a red flag.
- Look at the design quality. Is it generic, template-based work, or genuinely custom?
- Find the client names and Google them. Are these real, established Delhi businesses?
Browse our portfolio and do exactly this. We invite the scrutiny.
Step 3: Understand What Is Actually Included
Get a detailed written quote that specifies:
- Number of pages and which pages
- Whether copywriting (website text) is included
- Whether SEO setup is included — and what specifically
- Hosting, domain, and ongoing maintenance costs
- How many rounds of revisions are included
- Who owns the final website files and code
Many low-price Delhi web design quotes are low because they exclude the things that make a website actually work — content, SEO, and proper testing.

Step 4: Ask the Right Questions
"What platform or technology will you use, and why?"
A good agency will explain the choice and its implications. "We use WordPress because it is easy" is a different answer from "We use Next.js for your project because you need the speed and SEO advantages for a competitive Delhi market."
"How will my website rank on Google?"
If the answer is a blank stare or a vague "we do basic SEO," probe further. Ask specifically about on-page optimisation, site structure, and whether an SEO strategy is included.
"Who will actually build my website?"
Many Delhi agencies sell the project and then outsource the work. Ask who the developers and designers are and whether they are in-house.
"What happens after the website is live?"
Ongoing support, maintenance, updates, and performance monitoring matter. A site without maintenance is a site that degrades.
Red Flags to Watch For
- No portfolio, or a portfolio of obviously template-built sites
- A quote delivered within minutes of your enquiry, without questions about your needs
- No mention of SEO, performance, or mobile optimisation
- Guarantees of page one ranking within 30 days — this is not how SEO works
- Reluctance to provide a written contract specifying deliverables
What Good Looks Like
A good web design company in Delhi will:
- Ask more questions than they answer in the first meeting
- Show you work similar to what you need, built recently
- Give you a clear, itemised quote in writing
- Explain trade-offs honestly (cost vs. features, speed vs. scope)
- Have a clear process with defined milestones and client sign-offs
